Let's discuss the racism in our novel, Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry by Mildred Taylor. Discuss at least 3 instances of racism in the book.

racism was shown when Little man and the other african americans where walking to school.The bus driver past by them and was going to splash them with a puddle of mud.The african americans jump to the side and got dirty.
when they first came back to school little man and cassie both had a book they didnt want because the cover said nigra very poor.the whites were very wrong for what they did. they wouldnt like it if they said something about them like that.
The logan family has faced racism when they were walking to school and the bus passed by and splashed dirty water on their clothes and as they leave they would call them niggers. Another way they faced racism is that when Cassie bumped a white girl she made Cassie apologize 3 times and made her get to her knees. They also humiliated Little man and Cassie because when their school got books for the first time Little man didn't want them because in the front cover it said niggers so he didn't accept them it made the teacher mad so they got a whooped for not accepting the books.
I think when the bus full of white kids splashed little man and the others it was wrong.Also when they were at Mr. Barnett's store and he put all of those white folks in front of Cassie and Stacey and he called Cassie the n word and kicked her out which was also wrong.Also when Lilian Jean bumped into Cassie and told Cassie to get off of the sidewalk.When Cassie refused, Lilian Jean's dad twisted Cassie's arm and threw her off of the sidewalk which even made me mad.
when t.j , stacey, and cassie went to the store, the man that waas serving them left t.j and went to go serve a white woman. what that mann did was not fair because thye were there before anyone else.
there were many incedences that happen in the roll of thuder,hear my cry one was when cassie and her brothers went to the store when they came in they gave the man a list of things they needed that worked there and when everybody would come in that was white he filled there list out first so then he had cassie and her brothers waiting for a hour and the way cassie reacted i would have done the same everyone should be treated the same
i really think that this is a good book but the story is about racism between blacks and white and they are in segregation . and they get into it real easy like about the food market wen they waz getting somethings for mom

One Of The Events I Have Read About That There Was Racism Was When The Colored Kids Were Walking To School And The White Kids Were Also Going To School But On The Bus. The White Kids Were Laughing At Them And The Bus Splattered Mud All Over There Cloths.
Another Event Was When Little Man Got His Book.He Opened It And It Said That It Was Used By All White Children until it got old then they gave it to the colored children.

The second part was that Cassie,Stacey,and T.J was wating for T.J's order but the store keeper ignore them and was helping white people.The third part was that a white girl name Mis Lillian Jean bump Cassie and Lillian said to Cassie to appolygyes to her and she did but then Lillian said to go to the middle of the street but Cassie refuse to then Lillian's father came and push her out of the side walk.

Cassie experienced racism twice in one day but the one i thought was the cruelist was when Lillianjean bumped into Cassie and made her apologize and when she did apologize she wantedher to get out into the street and make her apologize again just because she thought she was better.

This book shows an example of racist when the students that rode the bus called Little Man names because the bus had splashed mud at him. A time when there was racism in roll of thunder hear my cry was when the black people would go to the wallaces store to by food. The wallaces would always charge the black npeople extra ebven though they would always bu the food no matter how much it would cost
The book, Roll Of Thunder Hear My Cry,gives a good example of how racism affects people. No matter what race background people are from, their could be white, african american, hispanics....... People are miss judge just by first appearance. In roll of thunder hear my cry, CASSIE and her LIL MAN had a racism experience. The bus who only takes white kids to school, purposely splash muddy water on them. Both got so angry but decided to let it go. For the reason that they know it doesn't do any good to anybody.
In the novel Roll of Thunder Hear My Cry Cassie gets discriminated when she goes to the store to get supplies and she gets cut off in line by white folks. She is furious and makes a big deal about it.The store owner calls her words that are to offensive to post
a time there was rascim in the book was when cassie went to strawberry and she had bumped into lillian jean by accident and lillian jean told her to say sorry and cassie didnt want to say sorry because she really bumped into her so since cassie didnt say sorry lillian jeans father pushed her off the side walk and told her she need to say sorry to his daughter and she had to call her miss instead of just lillian jean because she was black and lillian jean was white casssie didnt think that was fair to her so she felt bad that she had to say sorry to her for no reason at all and then she had to call her miss
IN THE BOOK ROLL OF THUNDER HEAR MY CRY THE BERRIES WERE BURNED BY THE WALLACE'S WHICH THE BERRIES WERE BLACK AND THE WALLACE'S WERE WHITE. ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF RACISM IN THE NOVEL IS WHEN THE LOGAN KIDS WALKED TO SCHOOL AND THE BUS FULL OF WHITE KIDS RIDE BY AND LAUGHT AT THEM AND ASLO SPLASH DIRTY WATER ON THERE FRESH CLOTHES. MY FINAL EXAMPLE OF RACES IN THE NOVEL IS WHEN MR.BARNETT LET A WHITE GIRL GO BEFORE THE BLACK KIDS.
The Berries were burned alive by the wallece's which were white. The berry's family are black. Cassie, Lil Man, and Stacy walk every day to school and they walk 3 hours to get there.Whites have a bus that take them to school and when they see blacks persons walking, they splash them with mud.They tell them bad names that would ofend them.

why? just because the Logans are black they have to walk towards school but the worse is that every time the bus is driving/passing by they get splashed with mud. This gets Cassie ,little man ,stacey t.j., and
christopher john really mad any one would get mad too. Another one was when cassie bumped in to a white girl lillian jean by accident and lillian's jean father forced her to apologize by saying"IM SORRY MIZ LILLIAN JEAN"this was also racist because it was not cassie's fault but... she's black and she's got to get used to it.
In the book "Roll Of Thunder Hear My Cry", Cassie and her brothers experience racism in many ways.In the begining of the book, Little Man notices that all the white people get the new books and that once they get old, they are given to them.
Another way in which the characters from the book experience racism is when Mr.Barry got burned. He was buned alive because they thought his nephew was flirting with a white woman.
In the book Cassie also experiences racism by being pushed by Lillian Jean, a white girl,and then expecting an apology from Cassie. This was very humiliating for Cassie.

racism in the book roll of thunder, hear me cry is really bad then today, for example mr.berry got really burn because they said he was flirting with a white women, but he was'nt it was just because he was black.also when lil man, cassie, stacey and christopher-john walk to school they always get dirty because the bus man .
Racism in Roll of thunder,hear my cry is not really bad the only thing that was really bad is when they burn Mr. Berry because Mr. Berry's nephew was flirting with a white women.
Also Cassie an his brothers have to walk to school because the bus wont take them because they are black an that is very bogus to let those children walk because the bus wont take them.
also what makes me really mad is that if black people want to shop in the store they need to pay more money.

in roll of thunder,hear my cry is that white and black people dont get along well because of racism.when the school bus was coming little man,cassie were walking until the bus splash them with water and white kid laugh and one white kid said the n word to cassie and little man.they were tired that the bus was getting them mud on there clothes.
in the book called roll of thunder hear my cry had alot of racim was going on because when black people shopped at the wallaces store they had to pay more then what they were supposed to because they were black and the wallaces were white. another reason why there was racim going on was because the white kids had a bus pick them up to go to school but the black kids had to walk the three hours to school.the tragedy that happened was because the barryes got burned because of trying to flirt with a white women.
On roll of thunder hear my cry a lot of racist incidents have happen. When the Logans walk to school,there's a white kids bus that comes by & splashes them with mud so they get to school with there clothes all dirty with mud. that doesn't seem fair.Another time was when Cassie was treated badly when she went to visit Strawberry for her first time. Mr.Barnett ignore her while she was waiting for him to finish with the white people.

Cassie experienced racism twice in one day but the one i thought was the cruelist was when Lillianjean bumped into Cassie and made her apologize and when she did apologize she wantedher to get out into the street and make her apologize again just because she thought she was better.
Racism in the book of Roll of Thunder Hear My Cry is that Lillian Jean was coming out of the strawberry store with her brothers and Cassie was walking and thinking about the way Mr. Berry insulted her by calling her a "n****r" and by accident Cassie bumped into Lillian Jean, she made Cassie apologize her self and since Cassie did not want to start any problems she did apologize, Lillian Jean told her to get in her knees and apologize in the road
a nother time there was racsim was when the bus driver kept splashing them when they was on their way to school the bus driver kept on everyday knowing that they didnt like it he just wanted to make the white kids laugh
Roll of a thunder is a book in which white people thought to be superior to african american people. This book shows an example of racist when the students that rode the bus called Little Man names because the bus had splashed mud at him. Also when Stacey,Cassie and T.J were waiting on Mr.Barnet and he attended all those people first bacause they were white. They waited for an hour that was racist. This event was not only racist but terrible Mr.Berry and his nephews were poured with kerosene and lit on fire. The Wallaces did this but nothing was done because the Wallaces are white and the Berry's are black. One of the nephews died and Mr.Berry and his other nephew were severely burned and disfigured.
